It FINALLY snowed! We didn't get as much as they had predicted but it was enough to play in!

The flakes have been HUGE and so beautiful! I can't wait to see what we wake up to tomorrow! Hopefully we will get to build a snowman. In the mean time...

Just the Beginning...

This is the first few hours of the sleet and snow....

They say that there is much more to come! Like 10 inches or more! Who knows.... We will definitely have fun playing in it! We went on a quick run to get the boys some gloves/mittens. We didn't think that we would need to buy those until next year! Thank goodness for second hand stores! This is one of the reasons we love Kansas so much! The boys will get to experience the things Greg and I did as a child!

Mary Helen Morrisett - My Grandmother

Today, my grandmother, Mary Helen Morrisett, would have been 93. WOW! She died 5 years ago on January 3, 2004. She was a remarkable woman. The canvas of her life is truly amazing! It was full of laughter and sorrow! She made every moment of her life look blessed! There was not a thing she did that didn't accompany her beautiful smile. I wish I had a picture to share with you!

Grandma, today I will remember you! I know that you are in heaven sitting next to Grandpa holding your precious boys...and smiling! I LOVE YOU!
